A warm trip that will warm your body and mind! When winter comes, Philippines
A special winter on a romantic tropical island in the Philippines. A world of tropical rainforests that are greener in winter. A journey filled with warmth at every step, unforgettable memories.
Midwinter, we are going to the Philippines!
Siquijor, a mysterious island shrouded in mystery
Siargao, a story of a hot island and people, full of romance and passion
Breath of the magnificent Mother Nature, a place of great life, Pampanga, Laguna
Amazing scenery created by time and nature Manila, Tagaytay
The Philippines consists of over 7,000 islands. Primitive nature that has not yet been touched by humans is hidden here and there. In search of unexplored scenery created by pristine nature, we head to Pampanga on Luzon Island. Tutulari Inararo Avatar Gorge is the destination of the journey. A place famous for its scenery reminiscent of movies. The real scenery far exceeds the emotion of the movie. The deep and majestic canyons created by nature over the centuries are truly surreal. We tour various parts of the canyon under the guidance of the Aeta people who have lived in this canyon for a long time. I recall old landscapes through the vivid stories of the indigenous people about the past of the canyon.
After exploring the canyon, we go on a hot spring trip to relieve the accumulated fatigue. However, the road to the hot springs is also an exploration itself! After driving on a rough road for 40 minutes, we arrived at Puning Hot Spring, hidden in the mountains. It is a natural hot spring created by the eruption of Mount Pinatubo in 1991. Relieve fatigue and recharge with new energy by basking in the hot spring water heated by the volcano.
Now it’s time to fill your body with warmth. Let’s go to taste Bulalo, a traditional food and beef dish, which is a delicacy of Luzon Island. It is a dish made with fire-grilled bone marrow and vegetables stewed, and is especially loved for its main ingredient, ‘bone marrow’. Unlike other restaurants, this restaurant roasts large bone marrow, allowing you to taste the essence of bulalo. Immerse yourself in the ‘taste of the Philippines’ by experiencing the food culture that literally ‘rips out the marrow’.
The next place we arrived at was Pagsanjan Falls, famous for its beautiful scenery. To see this waterfall, you have to take a boat and go up the strong river. There are people who help you on this journey, ‘boatmen’. They fight against strong currents with their bare bodies, without any equipment, and push rough rocks with their bare feet to move boats carrying tourists to the waterfall. Due to the recent typhoon, the water has risen and the current has become more rough. For safety reasons, enjoy the Talahib Falls below rather than the steep waterfall. If someone asks, ‘Are you disappointed?’ the answer is ‘Not at all!’ The high, white, crashing water currents are so full of emotion that nature gives them. These people start working at the age of 17 or 18 and drive boats their entire lives in order to show the waterfall to tourists. We are invited to the boatman’s house and get a glimpse into their lives and their hopes.
