Thoothukudi district team won the match held at Thiruchendur.
The 12th Chilaw Championship on behalf of Chilaw South India was held at the Dr. Sivanthi Adithyanar College of Physical Education, Thiruchendur. It was attended by over 1200 people from various districts of Tamil Nadu including Chennai, Chengalpattu, Trichy, Madurai, Virudhunagar and Tenkasi.
The competition was held in the categories of age, uniqueness, touch and weaponry. Chilaw South India President Shanmugasundar Sivanthi Adithyanar presented a trophy and certificate to the winners of the Thoothukudi District Chilaw team.
Earlier, the college principal Samraj presided over the competition. Thiruchendur Assistant Superintendent of Police Harsh Singh started the match. The arrangements for the match were made by Silambam South India Secretary Tennyson.
