With this annual campaign, Netze BW aims to inform as many of its customers as possible by email instead of by letter about the upcoming reading of their electricity meters. Sebastian Trumpf, from Netze BW, emphasizes: “Creating added value for people in the region through digitalization – our participation campaigns over the last five years have shown that this works: with the campaign we have already been able to support over 2,600 organizations and clubs and now the Friends of the Eppingen Citizens Park.” Mayor Klaus Holaschke praises the campaign and explains that this donation promotes volunteer work and thus supports offers that strengthen the sense of community in Eppingen. Jens Mühling, the association’s first board member, added: “We would like to use the money to bring life to the Bürgerpark. We have initial concepts for the Weiherpark as well as ideas for more community activities to bring society together and support integration and inclusion.” The campaign is now in its sixth year and supports a local non-profit organization with the saved costs as a donation. Communicating electronically has several advantages: it is uncomplicated and paper consumption and CO2 emissions are reduced.
