A curator with 5 years of experience in Vietnam introduces how to enjoy Vietnam properly! The last journey of the ‘Vehicle Tour’ that traveled all over Vietnam! Heading to Cao Bằng, the mecca of Vietnamese bikers. Cao Bằng, located in the northernmost part of Vietnam and close to the Chinese border, has a mountainous terrain with many winding paths. The curator climbs Ma Phuc Pass, which is about 700m above sea level, along the winding mountain path.
The old people said that this pass was “high enough for even a passing horse to lie down and rest,” but for motorcyclists, it is a road that stimulates their sense of adventure. After passing the winding mountain pass, the curator’s motorbike rushes into the deeper bosom of Cao Bang, to hidden gem-like places. Thang Hen, a lake located at an altitude of about 1,000m. Passing the mountain lake with clear water that soothes the heart, we stop in front of Cao Bang’s mysterious scenery. Cao Bang is deserted everywhere, but there are always a few travelers gathered in front of Mat Thắt Thần, a mountain called “Angel’s Eye.” A huge, round hole can be seen just below the sharp peak that looks like a triangle kimbap. Seeing the unrealistic appearance as if it were CG, I couldn’t help but nod to the mountain’s nickname, “Angel’s Eye.”
Stay at the nearby eco campsite (Cao Bang Eco Camping) and fully enjoy the ever-changing Maton Mountain and surrounding scenery. Cao Bang, full of mysterious scenery, has been famous for its many talented people since ancient times. There are many villages of artisans who produce one item and pass down the tradition from generation to generation. The appearance of Cao Bang artisans who have lived by sticking to one thing for decades resembles the nature of this place that has always remained the same despite the rapidly changing times. Among the scenery of Cao Bang that has been preserved for so long, it is considered the best, Ban Gioc (thác Bản Giốc). We board a bamboo boat and slowly approach the water rushing in with a loud noise. We end this journey in front of this overwhelming scenery.
