‘World Theme Travel – Wild Mongolia’ Part 3, ‘We Live in a Winter Paradise’, will be broadcast on EBS1 TV at 8:40 pm today (18th).
-50 degrees below zero! Colder than you can imagine, Mongolia in winter for the first time
Forget the Mongolia you knew! A white snowy field with biting cold, winter in Mongolia. A winter story of a pure nomad who lives in harmony with nature even in extreme environments.
Ulaanbaatar-Gorchtelj National Park, full of winter romance
The bitter cold of Khovsgol, Darhad, and Renzinglumbe
Taiga Forest and Mongolian Else, a paradise for pure people
Bayangulgi and Arhangai where wild legends live on
Let’s go to Mongolia in the winter with a unique charm we didn’t know about!
We continue our journey again in Renchinlkhumbe, which is considered the coldest city. The average temperature in Renchingrumbe in January is -32 degrees Celsius! Due to the sharp drop in temperature, Renchinlkhumbe Secondary School also had an early vacation.
The sound of Bokh players filling a quiet school. Buch is a traditional Mongolian sport similar to Korean wrestling and wrestling. Simply learn Buch’s rules and techniques, and then play against village players right away! Although they unfortunately lost after a tight battle, it was a game with so much passion that it took away the cold.
Taiga Forest, which I visited after reorganizing my vehicle. The beautiful scenery of the winter forest captures my heart. The Jargalant River was discovered while taking a leisurely walk through the forest. The green water plants underwater are beautiful, but what catches the eye even more are the people entering the cold, steamy river water! Following the Mongolian legend that if you swim in the cold winter, you won’t catch a cold all year round, the production team bravely jumps into the river and tries the cold water.
I met the Tsaatan People deep in the taiga forest, a place that even locals find difficult to find. Announcer Kim Hwang-joong helps the Chatang people who live with reindeer. We cut down trees for firewood and melt clean snow to make drinking water throughout the winter. Eating rice after hard work is truly delicious. Taste reindeer meat porridge made by mixing various ingredients in homemade water. Afterwards, enjoy the romance of winter by riding a reindeer and taking a walk through the snow-covered taiga forest.
After a sad farewell to my Chatang family, I went to the Altai Mountains in western Mongolia. It is the border between Mongolia, Russia, Kazakhstan, and China, and is a place where many ethnic groups live together. The road along the Altai Mountains to Mongol Els, the largest sand dune in Mongolia. Come face to face with a herd of camels on a snowy field. Camels, which adapt well to the ever-changing desert climate, played a key role in the Tea Road that once connected Asia and Europe. Ride a camel, herd a herd of sheep and goats in the desert, and get immersed in the life of a nomad.
