KT&G and NH Investment & Securities are issuing corporate bonds worth hundreds of billions of won.

According to the investment banking (IB) industry on the 2nd, KT&G will issue corporate bonds worth a total of 200 billion won. 40 billion won in 2-year bonds, 100 billion won in 3-year bonds, and 60 billion won in 5-year bonds as ESG (environment, social responsibility, corporate governance) bonds.

Depending on the results of demand forecasting, an additional issuance of up to 300 billion won is also being considered.

The main underwriters are NH Investment & Securities, Korea Investment & Securities, Shinhan Investment & Securities, and Kiwoom Securities.

It will be issued on the 8th of next month through a demand forecast on the 26th.

Established as a public corporation in 1987, KT&G was in charge of the monopoly business of tobacco and red ginseng, and even after privatization in 2002, it continued to manufacture and sell tobacco and red ginseng products as its main business.

NH Investment & Securities will issue corporate bonds worth a total of KRW 300 billion, including KRW 200 billion in 3-year bonds and KRW 100 billion in 5-year bonds.

Depending on the results of demand forecasting, there is a possibility of an additional issuance of up to 500 billion won.

The main underwriters are Shinhan Investment & Securities, Samsung Securities, and Mirae Asset Securities.

Like KT&G, it will be issued on the 8th of next month through a demand forecast on the 26th.

NH Investment & Securities, which started as Hanbo Securities in January 1969, was incorporated into Woori Financial Group in April 2005 through the merger of LG Investment & Securities and Woori Securities. As part of the Woori Financial Group privatization plan, the largest shareholder changed to Nonghyup Financial Group in June 2014, and changed to its current name at the end of 2014 through the merger with NH Nonghyup Securities.
