A large meteor shower devastates New York City on a peaceful Earth. NASA scientists analyze this phenomenon and discover that a giant meteor the size of Texas is approaching and will collide with Earth in 18 days. The scientists have only one solution: plant a nuclear bomb in the meteor and detonate it, as the meteor collides with Earth and humanity cannot avoid destruction. In the end, two space shuttles, Freedom and Independence, carrying the best excavator Harry (Bruce Willis) and his colleagues, set off for space. While refueling at a Russian space station to reach the meteor, a fuel leak causes the Russian space station to explode, but the two spaceships successfully escape. ‘Armageddon’ is said to have originated from the Hebrew word ‘Megiddo Hill’, and in the New Testament, it refers to the place where the eastern kings under the devil will wage war against the forces of God on the last day of world history. It is often compared to the similarly set movie released in the same year in 1998, but in terms of the realistic setting and gentle emotion, it is highly rated, and in terms of the overwhelming scale and fun as a blockbuster, it is highly rated, and it is also superior in box office performance.
