Jikjisa Temple, a thousand-year-old temple located at the foot of Hwangaksan Mountain, was the first to open its doors to foreigners who wanted to experience Korean traditional culture, regardless of race, religion, or nationality!

It is said that it all started when about 40 Korean diplomats and their families were invited to Jikji Temple for a temple stay ahead of the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup.

Even now, 20 years have passed, temple stay, where you can give 108 bows, eat alms with monks, and meditate at a site with over 1,000 years of history, has established itself as a unique lodging experience that only exists in Korea. Got it.

Max (French nationality), a college student who wants to know Korean culture and the actual daily lives of Koreans. He has already visited temples across the country, including Daegu, Busan, Gyeongju, and Seoul, and had a temple stay experience.

Stefan and Martina, a couple of German nationality, will also participate in the temple stay experience that will be experienced at Jikjisa Temple today… For those who are obsessed with vegan culture, the ‘temple food’ experience alone is enough to make them want a temple stay.

What kind of satisfaction can the temple food of Jikjisa Temple on Hwangaksan Mountain give them? Additionally, the highlight of temple stay. Can foreigners successfully complete the 108 bow experience?

We follow the temple stays of foreigners who are immersed in Korean Buddhist culture.
