With the summer vacation season in full swing, from ‘water hot spots’ that will blow away the heat to unique accommodations and ‘hip’ experiences. How about staying there?

Hard workers, get out! The full-fledged summer vacation season is approaching. Where can you find a place to soothe your tired body and mind from everyday life?

From cool ‘water hot spots’ that will blow away the heat in one go, to unique accommodations filled with the owner’s romanticism, to ‘hip’ experiences that you will regret missing out on.

Five senses. Satisfaction! A dreamlike night that only I want to know about! This summer, stay there~ How about it?

This week (July 22-26) EBS 1TV current affairs and culture program <한국기행>The five-part series ‘Stay Still, How’s It?’ will air.

Inje, Gangwon-do, is known as a remote area with deep mountains, so much so that people say, “If I go now, when will I come back? It’s so frustrating, I can’t live!” In the summer, trekkers from all over the country inevitably head to Inje.

That’s because of the ‘valley trekking’ where you can walk through a forest and valley for about 12 km while dipping your feet in the clear and refreshing stream water.

The Achimgari Valley, named after the deep, mountainous terrain where the sun shines just enough to plow the fields in the morning and sets just as quickly, is a place with a beautiful, deep valley view. The clear water and the primeval forest along the valley are said to be landscapes that can only be enjoyed here.

Singer-songwriters Ahn Su-ji and Jeon Byeong-jun are taking on the challenge of valley trekking for the first time in their lives. The course crosses 13 forest paths and waterways, and getting your shoes wet and your knees submerged in water is a summer experience that can only be enjoyed here! It is a rough path, but the cool breeze, the sounds of nature, and the breathtaking valley view before your eyes make you lose track of time.

Now, Achimgari Valley is a summer vacation spot loved by local residents. While following the local residents I met by chance, I came across the house of Jeon Byeong-gon and Kim Ji-hoe, a couple with a picturesque garden at the end of the valley.

The husband, who does woodworking, and the wife, who loves flowers, got tired of living in Seoul and settled down here 5 years ago. The husband built a house and the wife took care of the garden. Maybe that’s why the house is filled with the couple’s cute stories all over the place, making it fun to look around~

A hearty meal prepared by a couple for guests who have traveled a long way. Chicken soup, like a health food, made by boiling precious medicinal herbs in a cauldron. Sharing this delicious food makes the hard work disappear.

We packed freshly baked cookies and fruit for lunch and headed out with our couple to a secret water spot known only to locals! Sitting around a stone table in front of a stream and listening to sweet music was like heaven.

Let’s go now to a cool water spot that will blow away the heat in one go.

EBS’s ‘Korea Travelogue’ is a beautiful time travel documentary program that travels through space to find hidden scenic spots in Korea and conveys the fragrance of history, customs, architecture, and culture. It airs every Monday to Friday at 9:30 PM.
