Due to the spread of corona, the temple has stopped offering free darshan tickets directly to the Tirupati Ezhumalayan temple to restrict the arrival of devotees. Only 300 rupees tickets were issued online. Thus a large number of devotees were unable to see.
In this situation the temple decided to offer free darshan tickets directly as the corona spread has decreased. Accordingly, after 10 years, the work of issuing free darshan tickets started yesterday.
Counters will be opened at the Bhudevi Complex in Tirupati, Srinivasam Devotees’ Lounge and Govindarajaswamy Chatram and tickets will be distributed.
Officials said tickets would be issued to 15,000 people a day. Devotees lined up from 9am yesterday on the first day to get tickets. Devotees are happy to be given free darshan tickets after one and a half years.
