Kochi: A Kochi court has allowed the police to remand three people, including a Kerala couple, for human sacrifice of two women, including one from Tamil Nadu, for 12 days.

Three arrested
Here, a couple from Tiruvalla in Pathanamthitta district believed in witchcraft to become rich and sacrificed two women, including one from Tamil Nadu.
In this connection, Bhagwal Singh, 68, his wife Laila, 58, and Mohammed Shabi, 52, who was involved in witchcraft, have been arrested.
In the first phase of the investigation conducted with them, it has been revealed that this couple had given human sacrifice in the hope of getting rich soon, and since giving advice for the same, he had brought two women to do human sacrifice, and Mohammad Shabi had helped them in many ways.
Padma from Dharmapuri in Tamil Nadu and Roslin from Kaladi in Kerala were brutally killed and their bodies were cut into pieces, the investigation revealed.
Apart from performing Nirvana Puja, it is also revealed that the couple cooked and ate the body parts of the murdered women.

The three arrested were produced in the Kochi court yesterday. The court had ordered to keep them in judicial custody for 14 days. In this case, a petition was filed yesterday by the police seeking permission to take them into custody and interrogate them. Accepting this, the court allowed 12 days of police custody.
