The 2022/23 season is about to start and in the meantime it seems that Manchester United are coming to it in a positive direction. After the 0: 4 over Liverpool, the Red Devils provided another impressive display and scored 1: 4 over Melbourne Victory in their preparatory tour of Australia.
Brother Eric Tenn started with a relatively strong line-up that included Bruno Fernandez and Jadon Sancho, but his United fell behind just five minutes after a goal by Christopher Economidis. The Red Devils constantly attacked until in the 43rd minute Scott McTominy equalized with a kick from outside the box that was deflected and surprised the Melbourne goalkeeper and Anthony Martial completed a makeover before the break at the end of a well-organized attack (45 + 1).
In the second half, Tan Brother replaced the whole lineup and brought up some promising youngsters like Iraqi Zidane Iqbal, Amad Diallo and Tahit Chung. 12 minutes before the end of the game Marcus Rashford scored the third goal of the game and in the 90th minute an own goal by Edmund Lupanko sealed the result of the game.

Aside from United’s win, Liverpool also marked the first V of their pre-season campaign with a 0-2 draw at Crystal Palace. The Mighty Reds started the game well and in the 12th minute took the lead when Harvey Elliott passed a ball to Jordan Henderson who finished with a kick on the verge of an extension and inside. In the second half Trent Alexander Arnold and Muhammad Salah came off the bench and the successful cooperation between them arranged the second goal in the 46th minute from the feet of the Egyptian. Darwin Nunes may not have found the net, but a lot of threats on goal.
