Chennai, – Chief Minister Stalin has ordered the authorities to immediately vaccinate 1 crore 63 lakh people who have not been vaccinated against corona.
A review meeting was held yesterday at the General Secretariat, chaired by Chief Minister Stalin, on measures to be taken to control the growing spread of corona infection in Tamil Nadu. Chief Secretary Irayanpu, DGP, Silenthrababu, Radhakrishnan, Secretary, Department of Public Welfare, Ganesh, Director, Indian Medicine and Homeopathy, Kurunathan, Director, Medical and Rural Health Services, Selvavinayakam, Director, Public Health were also present.
At the meeting, Chief Minister Stalin said: The infection must be controlled without further escalation. Corona treatment facilities should be kept ready. Departments such as health, local government, municipal administration, revenue, disaster management, etc. should be involved and appropriate action should be taken.
People should be made aware of the need to wear face shields, wash their hands frequently and adhere to social norms. The government is committed to vaccinating all people as the vaccine is the only weapon that can defeat the corona.
So far, 93.82 per cent have been vaccinated with the first installment and 82.94 per cent with the second vaccination. In Tamil Nadu, 43 lakh people have not paid the first installment and 1.20 crore have not been vaccinated. That, 1.63 crore people need to be identified and explained the benefits of being vaccinated. They should all create the conditions for vaccination, the Chief Minister said.
‘Government will not allow child labor’
Chief Minister Stalin has warned that “child labor will not be allowed by the government.” Every child should have access to security, education, the right to life and prosperity in life. Deprivation of those rights is not only against natural law but also against social justice. The Government of Tamil Nadu is working tirelessly to eradicate child labor. Parents need to make sure that they do not send their children to work and that others do not employ their children. The public should provide information on child labor to the government. The government will not allow the employment of children, he said.
