At least 10 people were killed and dozens more injured in a fuel tanker explosion near a hospital south of Johannesburg in South Africa.
The truck carrying the tanker got stuck under a bridge in the city of Boksburg, about 100 meters from Tambo Hospital. Following the incident, the hospitalized were evacuated from the hospital after the roof of the building collapsed.

“Apparently, the driver drove under the bridge and got stuck there, as a result of the friction, the tanker caught fire,” said the spokesman for the emergency authorities, William Nataldi.
When the rescue teams tried to extinguish the fire, a second explosion occurred, which was caught by one of the passers-by.
According to the reports, there is a serious fear that the death toll is expected to climb, with 19 of the wounded being in critical condition and another 15 being in stable but seriously injured condition.
