Chennai: There are 55 district registrar offices in Tamil Nadu. In some places, district registrars are also involved in deed registration. In this, it is said that the district registrars are ignoring the complaints of the public.

It was decided to change the district registrars as per the complaints raised in the review meetings conducted by the registration minister and senior officials. 10 district registrars from Salem, Krishnagiri and other districts have been transferred. The order was issued by Registrar Department Secretary Jyoti Nirmala Sami.
