In the Messages app, if you hold down the “+” button, you can directly access the photo picker to send a photo, making the process faster and more efficient. Additionally, in the Mail app, you can easily add a hyperlink to text by copying the link, selecting the text, and then pasting it.
In the Photos app, if you have added a shape to an image using Markup, you can double-tap it to insert text. For those who have trouble deciphering laundry symbols, the visual search feature on the iPhone can be used to get information on what the symbol means.
Another new feature is the ability to test the Apple Watch connection from the iPhone in case the watch is misplaced. In addition, when setting up Focus Mode, you can now choose to always silence notifications or only when the iPhone is locked.
For those who use the Journal app, there is an option to lock the app using Face ID for added security, as well as the ability to set a schedule for journal entries to receive reminders. Under Accessibility settings, there is now an option to adjust the touch speed, giving users more control over the responsiveness of their device.
Lastly, the Shake to Undo gesture can be used to put apps and widgets back in place on the Home screen if you change your mind about their placement.
