> A new course will be introduced to enhance the professionalism of Anna University students

In order to enhance the professional skills of the students, a new course for BE, B.Tech and MCA students will be launched in collaboration with IBM at Anna University with the financial assistance of Rs. 6 crore from the Tamil Nadu Skills Development Corporation.

> Plan to pursue a Bachelor of Engineering degree while working in Diploma in Industry.

> Direct second year student admission in Anna University Department Colleges.

> A research park will be established at Anna University.

A research park at an estimated cost of Rs 50 crore will be set up at the Anna University campus in collaboration with alumni and industry.

Enterprise research activities and incubation centers will be set up here. Through this, approximately 20,000 undergraduate, graduate and research students will benefit.

> Prisoners, transgender and helpless widows studying at the Tamil Nadu Open University will be exempted from fees.

A free graduation program will be introduced at the Tamil Nadu Open University to increase the enrollment rate of prisoners, transgender and destitute widows.

> 10 Doctoral research courses will be introduced in government arts and science colleges.

> Buildings will be constructed for 16 government arts and science colleges.

Buildings will be constructed for the following 10 Government Arts and Science Colleges announced to start in 2021-22: –

  • Tiruchirappalli, Virudhunagar District
  • Tirukovilur, Kallakurichi District
  • Talawadi, Erode District
  • Ottanchatram, Dindigul District
  • Manor, Tirunelveli District
  • Tarapuram, Tiruppur District
  • Ariyur, Dharmapuri District
  • Alangudi, Pudukkottai District
  • Koothanallur, Thiruvarur District
  • Cherkadu, Vellore District

> Postgraduate Business Course for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students to be Launched at State College, Chennai

Chennai – State College undergraduate business course has been conducted for deaf students since 2007. The postgraduate business course will be launched from the 2022-23 academic year to enable students to pursue postgraduate studies and increase employment.

> A new library building will be constructed at Mamannan College, Pudukkottai.

> 10 Government Arts and Science Colleges will be started.

Government colleges offer excellent opportunities for rural students. The government has announced a scheme of providing Rs.1000 / – per month to encourage students pursuing higher education in government schools. Therefore, as the demand for Government Colleges has increased, 10 new Government Arts and Science Colleges at an estimated cost of `166.50 crore will be started in the following locations:

  • Ginger, Villupuram District
  • Tali, Krishnagiri District
  • Thirumayam, Pudukkottai District
  • Anthiyur, Erode District
  • Aravakurichi, Karur District Thirukkattupalli, Thanjavur District
  • Retiarchatram, Dindigul District
  • Vadalur, Cuddalore District
  • Sriperumbudur, Kanchipuram District

> Paramakudi, Government College of Arts and Sciences will be converted into Government College of Arts and Science for Women

> Infrastructure facilities will be developed in government colleges

In the financial statement for 2022-23, Rs.1000 crore has been earmarked for improving the infrastructure of government colleges. In the first phase, infrastructure facilities such as classrooms and laboratories will be set up at 26 government polytechnics and 55 government arts and science colleges at a cost of Rs 200 crore.

> Laboratories and libraries in government colleges will be modernized

> Sports facilities in government engineering colleges will be upgraded

> Foreign Language Centers will be set up in Government Engineering Colleges

> New courses will be introduced in various government technical colleges

> A project monitoring center will be established in the Technical Education Directorate

> Protochem Innovation Course to be launched at Government Polytechnlc College, Madural, Government of Madurai

ProtoSem, an 18-week innovative course at an estimated cost of Rs. As this course is run by the industry, students will be better able to find employment and become entrepreneurs.

> World Skills Academy and Modern Technology Production Center will be set up

> Tamil Nadu Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Corporation will be upgraded (Development of Tamil Nadu Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Corporation)

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu inaugurated the Tamil Nadu Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Corporation on January 25, 2022. The company was started with Rs 10 crore worth of drones as share capital. Rs 5 crore will be provided by the government for the day to day operations of the institute and its expansion.
