In a coordinated deployment between the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) and the Attorney General’s Office (FGJ) local to five buildings in the Tlalpan and Xochimilco municipalities, the uniformed officers arrested 10 alleged members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), in addition to securing more than 20 kilos of possible narcotics and useful cartridges.
The SSC reported that the operation was carried out in three rooms of a hotel on Prolongación Northern Division, colonia San Bernardino pasture, in Xochimilco, where they seized 110 doses of possible cocaine and 50 of marijuana.
In addition to 13 kilos of the same green herb, more than 600 live cartridges, a firearm, 7 ballistic vests, 9 chargers, a car, a motorcycle, 7 cell phones and 5 individuals were arrested.
In the same district, on the street Sixth Closed from February 2, Nativitas La Joya Expansion colony, the diligence resulted in the arrest of a man and the seizure of 2 kilograms of possible marijuana, 227 doses of the same herb, 3 cell phones and a white car.
Meanwhile, in the mayor’s office Tlalpan, On Betancourt Street, in the Coapa neighborhood, a woman and three men were arrested. At that location, the officers seized 4 kilos of apparent marijuana, three shirts and a pair of pants with military prints.
Following the searches, the buildings were sealed and guarded by police officers.
The 10 people arrested, along with the items seized, were placed at the disposal of the police. Public Prosecutor’s Office for the integration of the corresponding investigation file and to define its legal situation.
Through a statement, the Secretariat of Citizen Security said that as a result of the investigations it was learned that the detainees possibly form part of the Jalisco New Generation Cartelcell operating in the municipalities of Coyoacán, Tlalpan and Xochimilco.
