Maharaja’s college classmate K. P. Mammootty inaugurating Thomas’ film exhibition. Mammootty shared his memories of Maharaja’s College where he spent his youth at the event held at Nirvana Art Gallery, Mattancherry. Mammootty said that he used to join all the gangs in the college and when we blame the kids in the campus today, if we remember how we were in the college, we can’t blame them.

“I was an exceptional student who studied in a normal school. I am who I am today because of joining Maharajas. There was no one in the Maharajah who came with a hundred note in his pocket. There was no difference between big and small. I used to join all the gangs. Today, when we blame the kids in the campus, if we remember how we were in college, then we cannot blame them. If one person bought a cigarette, up to ten people would have smoked it. At least five people. (“Kuti muk” shouted Mansoor from the audience). At least three people would eat from one bowl of rice. The exhibition and sale of paintings under the auspices of Maharaja’s College Old Students Association will continue till March 12.
