Get 10 “natural” tips to keep your skin pleasant, and full of moisture even in winter, courtesy of the organic brand’s care experts ecoLove in collaboration Moran Gottfried – Aromatherapist, reflexologist, and naturopathy student.

1. You were looking for a pillow – Most of us do not know that a cotton pillowcase can dry out the facial skin. It is worth investing in a satin or silk pillowcase. These pillows are both pleasant and keep moisture in the face area.

2. Plantago leaves (cheek) – prepare an infusion of a glass of hot water with a spoonful of chek leaves and wait for a pleasant temperature. Make compresses with the infusion or alternatively you can soak in oil. Take plantago leaves and put in a small jar, add almond oil or jojoba oil to cover and place in a dark and cool place for 3 weeks. After 3 weeks you can apply it on the body, the oil will already do the job.

3. Add moisture to the skin of the hands – The skin of our hands is thin and needs to be protected more than any other part of the body. Choose the right products for hands with dry skin, for example: hand cream enriched with organic extracts of macadamia, shea and argan. It saturates the skin with moisture and nourishes it. Also check hand cream with chamomile, aloe vera, almond oil and avocado oil. It is recommended to put the cream by the sink at home and use it after every wash.

4. Shortening the shower time – Hot water dries the skin more than cold water. The heat of the water overcomes the heat of the body and thus the mass of the natural layer of fat that protects the skin is created and it dries out. Therefore, in winter it is recommended to shorten the shower time to only 5-10 minutes.

5. Oatmeal – If you’ve been craving a long, pleasant bath in the cold of winter, pamper yourself to the end and put on a sock with closed oats inside. Wait a few minutes to allow the nutrients of the oats to come out (the water will turn partially white).

6. Natural soap – Give up soap that contains chemicals that are not beneficial to the skin and also dry it out with substances such as SLS, parabens, sulfates and artificial fragrance. Prefer to use body soap made from essential oils, body butters such as shea, cocoa and base oils such as almond, coconut or aloe.

7. Nutrition from plants – how not? Plant-based nutrition is rich in vitamins and minerals that allow the skin to stay naturally moist, even in winter. What will we pay particular attention to? Seasonal fruits and vegetables. For example – avocado, sweet potato, cucumber, walnuts and flax seeds (freshly ground is recommended), green leaves, cauliflower, kohlrabi and broccoli. All of these contain vitamins A, B, C, E and minerals such as zinc, calcium and iron. We also gained antioxidants, chlorophyll and omega 3 along the way.

8. Drinking lots of water – The water adds elasticity and moisture to the skin, so it is recommended to drink about 10-12 glasses of water a day.

9. Coconut oil – Oil rich in fatty acids. Purchase a jar of high-quality cold-pressed coconut oil and simply apply it to your hands every day before going to bed. It can also be used as a makeup remover.

10. Geranium water – This water is also known by its professional name hydrosol: aromatic geranium water – nourishes and balances the skin. It is recommended to use this water as a complementary treatment in all kinds of dry areas of the skin or in places where there are cracks. You can drip the geranium water directly on the skin and apply.
