After 2 weeks (from March 14 to 28, 2024) of training in the field of IT, particularly in Powerpoint, Windows, Excel and Word and Dactylo, the NGO Force des Femmes, in partnership with the Computer Maintenance company Réseaux et Systems (MIRS), ten (10) young ladies received this Friday, April 12, 2024, their training satisfaction and laptops with the latest generation software. The handover was made in the presence of officials from the NGO and the company, at MIRS headquarters in Kaloum.
Satisfied with the result obtained, the MIRS company decided to offer a special gift to the lady who distinguished herself by being the first in her promotion. She is benefiting from a discovery internship within the MIRS company which will begin next Monday before reassuring that she will do so with the help of her partners if the 2nd and 3rd will benefit from the internships if opportunities present themselves.
Continuing, the General Director of the MIRS company, Cheikh Tidiane Bah, took the opportunity to explain that this initiative dates back to Women’s Month in partnership with the NGO Force des Femmes which works in the empowerment and support of women. “We decided to support women to strengthen their capacity. And it is within the framework of empowerment that these 20 women were selected to come and follow training that MIRS decided to offer to the NGO, to support it in its fight to help women in empowerment. Last year, we did it with another NGO and this year it is with the NGO Force des Femmes. And next year, we plan to do it for women,” he reassured before encouraging other companies and government institutions to support these types of NGOs, since for a country to develop, he said. he, women must be at the forefront and it is a fight for all.
Present at this ceremony, the president of the NGO Force des Femmes, Daff Mariama, after handing over the satisfaction and gifts to the beneficiaries, recalled that since 2020 she has been supporting women to be autonomous before expressing all her satisfaction to towards the beneficiaries, partners and trainers who spared no effort to be there today. “I encourage these young ladies not to give up because our objective as an NGO is to make them independent and help them set up their business. So we thank all the partners, Société Générale which allowed us to make this initiative a reality, the MIRS company for training these 10 young women and the media who supported us,” she rejoiced.
For his part, Kerfala Camara, training manager at MIRS, says he is satisfied with the sense of listening and the importance that beneficiaries have given to this training. “You are probably aware that it was in the month of Ramadan, so they were there every day and they attached importance to the fixed programs and the training provided. So that’s a source of pride for the MIRS company, which is not its first experience supporting women here. (…) Today the IT tool is a very important tool, we should also see how other companies will support women”
Finally, Dia Ramatoulaye, on behalf of all the beneficiaries, thanked the NGO and partners for the opportunities and support. “I had to benefit from this training thanks to the NGO Force des Femmes and here I will say that I am very, very proud of myself because I set the bar very high and I will say thank you to the NGO Force des Femmes. Women and also to the MIRS company because it is thanks to them we were able to train and thank you also to our trainer who was always there, who supported us and showed how things are done. Of course I knew a little about this software but with this training I deepened my knowledge. And thank you to Société Générale because thanks to them we had computers. I advise my co-beneficiaries not to give up, we must all be like men, whatever a man can, a woman can.”
