Now 100 days after the inauguration of Expo 2020 Dubai, the approach of the Regions participating in the Universal Exposition, the first major global event after the pandemic, is coming to life. Meanwhile, the shooting in the Italian territories of the Oscar-winning director Gabriele Salvatores, called by the Commissariat for Italy’s participation in Expo Dubai to narrate the Beauty evoked by the title of our country’s participation: “Beauty unites people”. In these weeks Salvatores’ gaze and crew will cross the 15 Regions (Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Liguria, Marche, Piedmont, Puglia, Sardinia, Sicily, Umbria and Veneto) that Dubai will bring their cultural, landscape and historical riches as well as their traditions and ability to innovate: the shots will then be edited and finally proposed during the exhibition semester from 1 October to 31 March to visitors to the Italian Pavilion. The story built by the Director with the participating Regions includes a series of highly scenographic and impactful contents that will be visible in two different sections of the itinerary of the Italian Pavilion: the Belvedere, with 360-degree projections of the most evocative landscapes and places, and the Italian ‘Know-how’, told on a screen of 100 square meters and capable of showing the visitor the best of the ‘artisans’, agri-food, mechanics, design and the use of the most sophisticated technologies.
