Foreign Investors Participate in JITEX 2024
Jakarta, Indonesia – August 10, 2024 – The Jakarta International Investment, Trade, Tourism and SME Expo (JITEX) 2024, a major business event in Jakarta, attracted the attention of 100 foreign investors from various countries.
The Head of the Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) of the DKI Jakarta Province, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo, confirmed the participation of these foreign investors, who expressed strong interest in local Indonesian products, particularly those produced by MSMEs.
“There are about 100 investors who came from Malaysia, Poland, the Philippines, Singapore, and they are all very interested in the local products at JITEX,” said Ratu at JCC Senayan Jakarta on Friday (9/8/2024).
The investors represented countries such as Malaysia, Laos, Hong Kong, the Philippines, India, China, Poland, Australia, and New Zealand.
The event also saw the participation of over 150 MSMEs from 239 tenants, and recorded total transactions of IDR 12.9 trillion during its three-day run from August 7-9, 2024.
The Jakarta Provincial Government did not set a specific target for the event, as it is seen as an initiative to foster business collaboration rather than a commercial endeavor.
JITEX 2024 will continue at the Jakarta Convention Center in Senad, Central Jakarta, until Sunday (11/8/2024). The event is expected to offer a platform for business-to-business (B2B), business-to-government (B2G), and business-to-consumer (B2C) interactions.
