This was conveyed by the President Director of PT Global Auto International Andi Setiawan as the agent holding the ICE-µ Premium Window Film brand. According to Andi, the window film embedded in new cars now has advanced technology.

“The ICE-µ window film, for example, has three core technologies. Namely Optical Technology, Coating Technology and Material Application Technology,” he explained. According to him, Optical Technology applies the working principle of copier optics to film glass, used to achieve Infra Red Rejection targets (infrared ray repelling power).

While Coating Technology applies the latest technology from high-precision nano-coating methods. The Material Application Technology applies a number of technologies in the use of photosensitive materials.

Andi claims, these features have a direct impact on consumers. “For example, not intervening in electronic signals as needed by cellphones or GPS navigation, reducing the temperature in the cabin, blocking harmful ultra violet (UV) rays and being environmentally friendly,” he said.

“With its ability to withstand the heat emitted by the sun, it can reduce the need for using cabin air conditioning (AC), this makes fuel consumption more efficient,” he added.

ICE-µ Premium Window Film is a window film product from Japan that is expanding its wings in Indonesia. Most recently, they became Wuling Motors Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) window film, especially Wuling Alvez. “Starting in March 2023 we have installed 1,000 units of window film at Wuling Alvez per month,” said Andi.

Previously, ICE-µ Premium Window Film had been used by Mitsubishi Xpander and Xpander Cross, all Mazda and Volvo models sold in Indonesia, Honda WR-V, and Wuling Air EV.

Andi even has big targets. That is, it can achieve a market share of 20 percent in the Indonesian window film market. Especially the middle class car segment to the luxury class.

The next plan, ICE-µ will also be present at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2023 event in August with a new product. Andi also said that they already have 55 dealers in all major cities in Indonesia.
