11 FEBRUARY 2024: 166th ANNIVERSARY OF THE APPARITION OF OUR LADY OF LOURDES TO BERNADETTE, TORCH PROCESS AT THE END OF THE HOLY MASS AT 6.30 PM FROM THE SANCTUARY OF OUR LADY OF THE FOUNTAIN TO THE GROTTO
It happened today: February 11, 1858, Bernadette and the apparition of Our Lady of Lourdes. Also in Torremaggiore there has been an area dedicated to the Madonna of Lourdes strongly desired by the late Don Dario Faienza (1938-2018) behind the Sanctuary of Maria SS.ma della Fontana since 1982. There is also another chapel dedicated to the Madonna of Lourdes inside the Church of Santa Maria della Strada.
11 FEBRUARY 2024 – OUR LADY OF LOURDES AND WORLD DAY OF THE SICK
At the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Fontana on Sunday 11 February 2024 after the Holy Mass at 6.30 pm there will be the administration of the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick and immediately after a torchlight procession in front of the Lourdes Grotto on Via Portatori della Madonna della Fontana (formerly Via Galileo Galileo).
