A resident of Brest became a defendant in the case. He was one of the members of an organized group in which he acted as a courier-deposit. In the messenger, he received from the curator the geographic coordinates of drug caches for sale in Brest.
In particular, the defendant extracted at least 1.62 g of hashish from the hiding place, transported it home, divided it into parts, made bookmarks, and then sold it. It is also known that he extracted at least 16.78 g and 98.34 g of hashish from caches in the Minsk region. He kept it with him until the drug was discovered and seized by law enforcement officers.
The court found the young man guilty under Part 4 of Article 328 of the Criminal Code (drug trafficking). He was sentenced to 11 years in prison to be served in a penal colony under a reinforced regime. In addition, he will have to pay a fine of 70 basic units – this is Br2590.
The verdict has not entered into force. It can be appealed and protested.
