Speaking on this occasion, the Director of Road Transport at the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, Bahija Boucetta, affirmed that the road transport industry should follow developments and adopt innovative practices focused on sustainability and road safety. logistics chain.

And added: “Today, digital transformation represents a major strategic challenge for the transport sector, whether road, air or maritime transport. It is necessary to anticipate new concepts such as big data and artificial intelligence.
Ms. Boucetta also indicated that the ministry is currently working on the dematerialization of the freight manifest which defines the nature of the goods, the place of export, the time, and includes several pieces of information to manage.
For his part, the head of the Distribution division at the General Directorate of Commerce at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Heidar Iyad, considered that logistics activities play a crucial role in national and international trade, particularly in sectors key sectors such as automotive and aeronautics.
The integration of Moroccan logistics activities into global value chains has been strengthened thanks to the development of exports, he noted.
“Morocco is committed to an ambitious digitalization strategy, in collaboration with all the players in its ecosystem. This transition towards more modern and traceable distribution is essential, because the growth of distribution is closely linked to the “use of digitalization and technological tools,” he said.
For her part, Soraya Hasnaa Melyani, Head of the Digital Entrepreneurship Department at the Digital Development Agency (ADD) affirmed that the exchange of data between administrations makes it possible to simplify access to public services.
And to continue: “In collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, we have developed a solution for digitizing the freight manifest. This holistic approach is based on an agile process, involving various stakeholders, which facilitates its appropriation by the end users”.
Ms. Melyani also indicated that particular attention is paid to the evolution of the start-up ecosystem, particularly in the logistics sector, noting the establishment of initiatives aimed at strengthening skills in of digitalization.
