The training of the national team under the leadership of head coach Dmitri Hristic started in Budapest on August 16, and on August 25, a test match with Hungary took place, in which Ukraine won 6:3.
The team includes 25 hockey players – three goalkeepers, eight defenders and 14 forwards.
In the fight for the only ticket to the 2026 Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Ukraine will meet Latvia on the second day of the tournament – August 30.
The national teams of France and Slovenia will also participate in the tournament, which will take place in Riga from August 29 to September 1.
