12 Tamil films in Chennai International Film Festival 2022 competition!

The Chennai International Film Festival will be held from December 15 to 22.

The 20th Chennai International Film Festival (CIFF) will be held in Chennai from December 15 to 22. The festival screens 107 films from 48 countries, including Oscar-nominated films.

CIFF has a competition section for eligible Tamil films. Every year, 12 Tamil films are selected in this category. Out of which three films are selected as the best films and awarded. The festival organizers met the press to announce the details of this year’s festival of CIFF and to release the list of 12 films selected in the competition category.

Among the 12 Tamil films selected this year are Karki, directed by Gautham Ramachandran and starring Sai Pallavi, and Pa. Ranjith’s romance film Nakshatram Nagar. Radhakrishnan Parthiban’s single-shot film Iravin Siyota, Vijay Sethupathi-Seenu Ramasamy’s Mamanithan, Ramnath Palanikumar’s Aadhaar, Simbudhevan’s anthology film Kasadathapara, Vaibhav starrer, Ashok Veerappan’s Buffoon, Mano V Kannadasan’s Final Page and GS Vignesh’s Nayanthara starrer O2.

Besides, the yet-to-be-released Beginning, Yuddha Kantam, and Aadu feature in the official selection. These will compete for the Best Film Award.
