12-year-old girl killed in school bus crash

Ajman: A girl was killed when a school bus collided with her in Ajman. The accident took place in Al Hamidiyah, Ajman. The 12-year-old girl, who got off the bus after leaving school, was pushed forward by the bus without paying attention. Lt. Col. Saif Abdullah al-Falasi, head of the Ajman Patrol Department, said the student was rushed to hospital with serious injuries but died later. The deceased was a Gulf student at Umm Amar School. There was no supervisor on the school bus.

Lt. Col. Saif said the bus driver was an Asian national. Al-Falasi reminded school bus drivers to drive with extreme caution to get students home safely. Ajman police visited the boy’s family and expressed condolences.
