Kiev: Russian forces attacked major cities of Ukraine by firing 120 missiles in one day. Ukrainian President Zelensky said that most of the cities were plunged into darkness due to the damage of electrical infrastructure. The Russian military has stepped up its missile strikes in recent days, following a more than 10-month-long offensive against Ukraine. On a single day yesterday, the Russian army launched 120 missiles on major cities including Kiev, the capital of Ukraine.
A barrage of missile strikes in Kiev damaged homes and hospitals. People took refuge in the railway tunnel to save their lives. Similarly, Russian forces also attacked cities including Kharkiv, Odessa, Lviv, and Vinnytsia. A missile attack was carried out targeting electrical infrastructure in the city of Kharkiv. Most of the cities were plunged into darkness due to attacks on power infrastructure. Ukrainian army shot down more than 50 missiles fired by Russian forces. Ukrainian President Zelensky has accused Russia of carrying out such a brutal attack to seize Kiev region by the New Year.
