13 murdered in a month: “The government can no longer sit idly by”

by time news

Journalists reacted today (Sunday) to a shooting attack that took place in Hawara in which two Jews were murdered, and attacked the government that promised to deal with terrorism.

Walla journalist Yikki Adamkar attacked: “A government whose leaders promised to fight terrorism with all their might, accused their predecessors of being lax in the face of terrorists and our enemies – can no longer sit idly by in the face of 13 murdered in terrorist attacks within a month. You promised, you will keep.”

He later brought a tweet by Ben Gabir from March 27, 2022, who wrote: “Jewish blood is not wasted! Another attack and another attack and the heart can no longer contain the amount of sorrow and destruction. We said and warned that a government that depends on the Islamic movement will end up seriously harming the security of the country. Until when will we become a trampler?” How long will the lack of governance and reaction be celebrated. Bennett is too big for you. Go!”.

Adamkar asked “Will the Minister of National Security apply to himself the rules and expectations that he asked to apply to his political opponents and tweet tonight: ‘How long will the lack of governance and reaction be celebrated?’. Don’t hold your breath Queen.”

Journalist Avishai Greenzeig of Globes also published a tweet by Minister Ben Gabir from October 2022 that he wrote after an attack: “Another attack, again mortally wounded, again prayers in the hearts of the people for the safety of IDF soldiers. Gantz, please, go home. This intifada is registered in your name.”

Greenzeig wondered: “In the last month, 13 have been murdered in a series of shooting attacks, along with repeated rocket fire from Gaza. Does anyone recognize a real difference between the two governments?”

Yishai Cohen of the Shabbat Square wrote: “First months of the right-wing government. It seems that in terms of personal security the situation is getting worse and worse. In terrorism, 13 were murdered in less than a month. In the Gaza Strip, over thirty rockets. In criminal, we stopped counting the number of those murdered.”

Avi Rabina of Kol Hai wrote: “A government that did nothing in the face of 11 murdered people in one month (!) will react with the same laxity in the face of two more murdered people. This is the truth. It hurts.”
