1,300 migrants from France to Britain have entered through the English Channel.
The UK Ministry of Defense said 1,295 migrants had arrived.
This is the highest number of migrants arriving by boat in a single day.
The ministry added that 27 small boats arrived at the port of Dover on Monday through dangerous seas.
22,670 have entered the UK on small boats from France so far this year, up from 12,500 in 2021.
By the end of 2022, this number could rise to 60,000, according to a recent UK parliamentary report.
