The number of participants in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) this year was 13,000, compared to 19,000 two years earlier, Anton Kobyakov, executive secretary of the forum organizing committee, adviser to the Russian president, said at a press conference.
“This year, given the unprecedented security measures, we tried by all means to limit the number of participants, because at the moment Rospotrebnadzor allowed us only 5,000 participants. In total, this year there were 13,000 participants, and there were twice as many requests, ”he said.
In general, SPIEF 2021 was attended by people from 140 countries of the world. The forum was attended by 11,000 Russian and foreign companies. 800 top organizations were represented at the level of their leaders.
