People recovered or discharged they are altogether 4.675.867 e 7.610 those that came out of the Covid nightmare today (6,404 yesterday). The positive current – the subjects who have the virus – turn out to be in all 172.618, equal to +6.020 compared to yesterday (+7.281 the day before).
The swabs and the scenario
I total swabs (molecular and antigenic) were 557.180, which is 92,818 less than yesterday when it was 649,998. While the rate of positivity 2.4% (the approximation of 2.45%); yesterday it was 2.1%. Here is the map of the contagion in Italy.
Infections stable in 24 hours compared to yesterday: they are a little less. The curve close to the weekly peak of its swing (last week the high point occurred on Saturday with +11,555 positives). The trend is still rising, as shown by the comparison with last Friday (November 19th) – the same day of the week – when they were recorded +10,544 almost with a 2% positive rate: today, in fact, there are more new infections than that day, with a higher percentage (2.4% versus 2%).
This week the Rt index remains almost stable at 1.23 (it was 1.21 last week), always above the epidemic threshold – according to the weekly monitoring of the control room – and the incidence rises to 125 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants (it was 98 per 100 thousand) . From Monday, Friuli will pass into the yellow zone, while all the other regions will remain in the white zone. The epidemiological situation in our country still tends to worsen, explains the director of prevention of the Ministry of Health Gianni Rezza who invites us to continue with the vaccination campaign with great intensity and above all as regards the booster doses and at the same time maintain prudent behavior such as social distancing and use of masks.
There are two regions above the threshold of 2,000 newly infected (the same as yesterday): the Lombardy which communicates +2,209 cases identified thanks to 115,000 swabs – the highest number of regional tests of the day – with a rate of 1.9%, lower than the national one (here the bulletin). And the Veneto which marks +2,036 cases with a 2.2% rate calculated on 91 thousand analyzes. Following at an altitude of one thousand: Lazio (+1.566 cases with 3.2% rate) ed Emilia Romagna (+1.353 cases with a 3.7% rate).
Victims are decreasing: there are 51 in the bulletin, twenty less than yesterday. Seven regions / provinces that have zero bereavement: they are Piedmont (here the bulletin), Puglia, Umbria, Basilicata, Molise, Valle d’Aosta and the province of Trento. While the highest number of deaths in Lazio (8) and Lombardy (7).
The health system
The increase in hospitalizations continues in every area. The beds occupied in ordinary Covid wards I’m +59 (yesterday +60), for a total of 4,748 hospitalized. The beds occupied in intensive care (TI) are +18 (yesterday +15) – this is the balance between the people who left and those who entered ICU -, bringing the total of the most seriously ill patients to 606, with 58 admissions to resuscitation (yesterday 57).
