According to the press release, 23 districts of the country (Narayanganj, Munshiganj, Narsingdi, Kishoreganj, Comilla, Brahmanbaria, Chandpur, Sylhet, Moulvibazar, Habiganj, Sunamganj, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Noakhali, Feni) have been affected by the terrible floods of the past August 16 to August 30. , Laxmipur, Rangamati, Khagrachari, Natore, Khulna, Narail, Bagerhat, Jessore).

The notification also informed that the agricultural rehabilitation program has been adopted by the Ministry of Agriculture to compensate for the crop losses in response to the flood situation.

Under rehabilitation, 80 thousand small and marginal farmers of 9 districts will be given free seeds of Ropa Aman Ufshi variety, fertilizer assistance and a total of Tk 13 crore 66 lakh for expenses. Farmers will get 1 thousand 707 taka per person.

Besides, 150,000 farmers in 22 districts will be paid Tk 1,523 per person for cultivating 5 percent of the land for early winter vegetable cultivation in the homestead.
