“Now I have fourteen people in the process of making a statement – I am waiting for the right moment to submit an application to the Investigative Committee to initiate a criminal case. And these are only those people who decided to report crimes against them. Most of them have already been released from custody, so they understand that the system does not threaten them anymore, ”she said.
According to her, it is not known how many more such victims are still silent, since they are serving their sentences and are afraid to speak the truth.

Earlier, several videos with torture and rape of prisoners were distributed by the human rights project Gulagu.net. According to the founder of the project, Vladimir Osechkin, these videos were made at the tuberculosis hospital of the Federal Penitentiary Service No. 1 in Saratov. In total, according to him, the organization received a 40 GB FSIN archive, which contains about 1,000 videos and documents. After that, the Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor General’s Office organized a verification of the information. The FSIN also organized its own check.
