14-year-old Pskovich became European chess champion

14-year-old Pskov Alexey Zakharov received a gold medal in the European Chess Championship in the youth category under 14. This was reported to the “MK in Pskov” in the press service of the regional Chess Federation.

The Children’s Championship of the Old World is run according to a hybrid scheme. “These are already outstanding achievements for the Pskov chess players for all the time, we have not had such results yet,” the press service added.

In total, Russian athletes won 22 medals at the championship.
