Weijiagou, a young Chinese man, has lived in Beijing Airport for 14 years.
As the saying goes, “He who is afraid of bedbugs sets the house on fire”. Similarly, Weijiaskou took shelter at the airport in 2008, unsettled by the disturbances caused by his family. He also took a stove with him. He cooks, eats and sleeps at the airport 14 years later.
Since his retirement, the Chinese government was giving him a monthly pension of 1,000 yuan (Rs. 10,000 in Indian currency). He has lived on this money. This matter came to light recently.
