Got an opportunity to work with Ghori, with whom he started his career as an assistant director with his film “Daman” in 1962, assisted in 5 films with him in a period of two years. , then associated with director S. Sulaiman and worked with him as an assistant director in more than 12 films.
Javed Fazil started his first film as a director in 1977 “Mere Jeevan Saathi” which was produced by actress Diba and Waheed Murad was playing the role of the hero in it but due to some inevitable reasons this film could not be released but as a director the film “Goonj” was released. It was his first film, although it did not get much success, but Javed Fazil definitely succeeded in making a place in the film industry as an authentic director.

In 2007, the producer agreed to direct Shoaib Alam’s film “Main Ek Din Lotkar Aoon Ga”, in which he signed actor Humayun Saeed as a hero opposite two Indian TV actresses. The film was processed and shot in India. After this film did not succeed at the box office, he again started doing TV drama serials.
