/ The United States and Britain renewed their strikes on the sites of the Yemeni Ansar Allah group, targeting the governorates of Hodeidah and Saada in western and northwestern Yemen, on Monday.

A local authority official in Hodeidah Governorate reported that “American and British fighter jets launched 11 raids on the governorate, distributed as 8 raids on the Ras Issa area in the Salif district north of Hodeidah city, while two raids targeted the Al-Zaidiyah district northeast of Hodeidah, and the Al-Hawak district south of Hodeidah city was subjected to an air raid.”

The Yemeni official added to the Russian Sputnik Agency that “the skies of the coastal province of Hodeidah on the Red Sea are witnessing intensive flights of fighter jets and reconnaissance aircraft.”

In a related context, a local source in Saada Governorate, the stronghold of the Ansar Allah group (northwestern Yemen), said that “American and British fighter jets bombed the group’s military sites in Baqim District, north of Saada Governorate, with three raids, while another raid targeted a camp east of Saada city.”

For its part, the Ansar Allah group condemned the strikes, considering them a “violation of international law and the purposes of the United Nations Charter,” holding Washington and London responsible for threatening navigation in the Red and Arabian Seas.

The Foreign Ministry of the government affiliated with the Ansar Allah group said in a statement carried by the Yemeni news agency Saba in Sanaa, which is run by the group, that “the continuation of the American-British aggression represents a stark image of the failure of the Security Council to assume its responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security and protecting civilians, in light of the current structure of the Security Council membership that threatens the complete collapse of the United Nations system.”

The statement added: “The American-British aggression against the Republic of Yemen comes to permanently cover up the war crimes and genocide committed by the Zionist enemy against Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip.”

The statement stressed that “the Republic of Yemen will not be deterred by the American-British aggression from continuing its humanitarian and moral duty towards the Palestinian people.”

The Foreign Ministry of the Ansar Allah government held the United States and Britain responsible for the safety of maritime navigation and international trade in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab Strait and the Arabian Sea, considering that “the presence of their forces is illegal and a form of occupation, which must be fought by all countries overlooking the Red and Arabian Seas.”

Earlier on Sunday, the Ansar Allah group announced that it had monitored 48 airstrikes on Sana’a and the governorates of Taiz, Hodeidah, Al Bayda, Hajjah and Saada, stressing that it would not dissuade the group from supporting the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, stressing that “they will not pass without a response and punishment.”

Meanwhile, the US Central Command said that it and Britain carried out strikes against 36 Ansar Allah targets in 13 locations in areas controlled by the group, focusing on targets used to attack international commercial ships and US Navy ships in the region, and included underground storage facilities, command and control centers, missile systems, storage sites, drone operations, radars and helicopters, according to it.
