In this context, the 19th mega vaccination camp was held today in 50,000 places across Tamil Nadu. Vaccination was given through camps at 1,600 places in Chennai alone. The vaccination camp was held today from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A total of 16,29,736 people have been vaccinated at the mega vaccination camp held today.

In this connection, the Minister of People’s Welfare Ma. Subramanian said:

So far 9 crore 31 lakh 3,288 people have been vaccinated in Tamil Nadu. In Tamil Nadu, 9.05 crore people over the age of 18 have been vaccinated against corona.

25.66 lakh children between the ages of 15 and 18 have been vaccinated against corona.

In Tamil Nadu, 89.6 per cent people have been vaccinated with the first installment and 66.8 per cent with the second installment.

2.17 lakh people have been vaccinated against booster so far. Today alone, 33,129 people have been vaccinated with the booster dose.

Those who have been vaccinated with the first dose should receive the second dose at the right time. The first dose should not be delayed until after 6 months of immunization.

For all types of corona infections, the Chief Minister said there is free treatment through the insurance scheme.
