The moon of the holy month of Rabiul Awal of 1446 Hijri was seen in the sky of Bangladesh today. As a result, the holy month of Rabiul Awal will start from Thursday. In this context, next September 16 (Monday), the holy Miladunnabi (PBUH) will be celebrated.

The decision was taken at the meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee held on Wednesday evening at the Islamic Foundation Baitul Mukarram meeting room under the chairmanship of the Secretary of the Ministry of Religion Md. Hamid Jamaddar.

The meeting reviewed the information received from all district administrations, Islamic Foundation head office, divisional and district offices, Bangladesh Meteorological Department and space research and remote sensing institutes regarding moon sighting in the holy month of Rabiul Awal of 1446 Hijri. On Wednesday evening, there was news of the sighting of the moon of the holy month of Rabiul Awal in the sky of Bangladesh.

Director General of Islamic Foundation (Additional Secretary) Dr. Mr. Bashirul Alam, Senior Deputy Chief Information Officer Munshi Jalal Uddin, Senior Assistant Secretary of the Cabinet Department Mr. Mahmud Ullah Maruf, Chief Scientific Officer of Bangladesh Space Research and Remote Sensing Institute Dr. Muhammad Shahidul Islam, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka District. Aminur Rahman, meteorologist of Bangladesh Meteorological Department. A. Rahman Khan, Director of Bangladesh Television. Ruhul Amin, Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Senior Imam Mufti Maulana Muhammad Mizanur Rahman, Chakbazar Shahi Jame Mosque Khatib Sheikh Naeem Rezwan, Lalbagh Shahi Jame Mosque Khatib Mufti Muhammad Niamatullah and others were present.
