Chennai: The court has sentenced an old man to 16 years of rigorous imprisonment for raping girls in Avadi. In 2018, the Avadi Women’s Police registered a case against Balaram Singh, 69, who sexually harassed an 8-year-old girl in Kamaraj Nagar, Avadi, Chennai. In this, it was revealed that Balaram Singh violated two more girls from the same area.
This case took place in Tiruvallur Mahila Court. Judgment was given in this case. Balaram Singh was sentenced to 16 years rigorous imprisonment and ordered to pay a fine of Rs 4,500. Subsequently, Balaram Singh was imprisoned in Puzhal Jail.
