Asian Film Awards have been given since 2007. It is presented by the Hong Kong-based Asian Film Awards Academy to honor Asian films. Accordingly, the 16th Film Awards will be presented on March 12 at the Hong Kong Palace Museum. Only 2 films from India have been selected.

Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ has been nominated in 6 categories – Best Music, Best Film, Cinematography, Production Design, Cinematography and Costume Design and Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ has been nominated in 2 categories – Best Soundtrack and Best Visual Effects.
