Yesterday, the Israeli army acknowledged the killing of 8 soldiers, including one officer with the rank of major and two with the rank of captain, and the wounding of 7 others, some of them seriously, during the ongoing battles in southern Lebanon.

The source added: “The specific resistance strikes have so far thwarted any advance of the Israeli enemy inside Lebanese territory, and the resistance ambushes prepared in advance by the enemy have inflicted a large number of losses on the ranks of its soldiers.”
“Hezbollah members also detonated an explosive device with the force of the Israeli enemy’s Golani Brigade in the Tartira area in the town of Maroun al-Ras. It was trying to outflank from the western side of the town, killing one person, and detonated a “Sajil” device with an infantry force of the Israeli enemy as it attempted to infiltrate towards The town of Yaroun, south of Lebanon, and its members were killed or wounded.”
In addition, “Lebanese Minister of Health, Dr. Firas Al-Abyad, announced that 1,974 people had been killed, including 127 children and 261 women, 9,384 wounded, and 10 hospitals damaged since the start of the Israeli bombing of Lebanon.”
In this context, “Lebanon’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations submitted a complaint to both the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the UN Security Council after Israel’s attack on Lebanon’s sovereignty and the incursion of its forces into its borders.”
Lebanon confirmed in the complaint that “Israel violated the withdrawal line (the Blue Line) of the year 2000, and ignored the essence of Resolution 1701 and the reason for its existence,” surprising its repeated calls to implement this resolution, and “it is the one that has persisted in violating it since its issuance in the year 2006.”
Lebanon recalled that “Israel, which is mobilizing its armies and columns of tanks and armored vehicles along its southern borders, has continued its aggression against it since October 8, 2023, at an escalating pace, by targeting civilians, relief workers, and journalists, and its indiscriminate bombardment of cities and villages with a barrage of missiles and air strikes that have reached On the date of submitting the complaint to 8,570, which led to 1,928 deaths and 3,290 injuries, including a large number of children and women, in a reality that confirms Israel’s commission of crimes against humanity.”
Lebanon also indicated in its complaint that “the indiscriminate Israeli bombing caused an unprecedented wave of displacement of nearly one million two hundred thousand civilians,” asking the Security Council to “condemn Israel’s ground invasion and its widespread and continuing aggression against its land and people.”
He reiterated his call on the Council to oblige it to fully implement Resolution 1701, withdraw from all occupied Lebanese territories, and respect Lebanon’s sovereignty and its internationally recognized borders. He also affirmed his full commitment to implementing all resolutions issued by the Security Council, especially Resolution 1701, and extending state authority over the entire Lebanese territory within internationally recognized borders.
In addition, Lebanon’s ambassador to Moscow, Shawqi Bou Nassar, said, “His country has asked Russia for diplomatic assistance in resolving the conflict in the Middle East, and that Moscow is already making “many contacts” around the world.”
Last September 23, Israel launched the “North Arrow” military operation against Hezbollah forces in Lebanon, during which it carried out large-scale strikes in various regions of Lebanon.
