Washington and Danny Abdia finally came back to win after six losses, as tonight (Saturday through Sunday) they beat the Los Angeles Lakers 119: 127 and LeBron James, who became the second-greatest scorer of all time and overtook Carl Malone. The Israeli received 32 minutes, in which he scored 17 points and added four rebounds and four assists.
The Lakers led by ten points after the first quarter and also led down the break and before the final quarter, but the Wizards’ excellent final 12 minutes, including a great three-pointer by Danny Abdia (memories from last season) helped the capital team make a comeback and record a big win over the LA rival.
Christopher Prozingis excelled with 27 points, Cantabius Caldwell-Pop added 18 points and 10 assists. For the Lakers, 37-year-old LeBron scored 38 points and added 10 assists (needed 20 points to overtake Melon, who had 36,929 points) and Russell Westbrook finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds.
Minnesota (30:42) – Milwaukee (27:44) 119: 138
The Bucks came back to lose after two wins. Carl-Anthony Towns led the Timberwolves with 25 points and 11 rebounds, Anthony Edwards also finished with 25 points and the host reached the final quarter with a 24-point lead en route to Garbage Time. Chris Middleton and Brock Lopez scored 15 points each for the champion, Yannis Antocompo missing.
Charlotte (35:36) – Dallas (28:43) 108: 129
Fourth straight win for the Hornets, who enjoyed 23 points for Miles Bridges. Luca Doncic’s 37 points did not help the Mavericks, who lost for the second time in a row.
Cleveland (30:41) – Detroit (52:19) 109: 113
The Cubs put together a second straight win against one of the weakest teams in the league, and it was not easy. Darius Garland scored 24 points and added 12 assists, Kevin Love finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Jeremy Grant’s 40 points did not help.
