17-year-old Emma Felbermary will start for Sauber in 2025

Emma Felbermayr, 17, will compete in the F1 Academy women’s racing series in 2025. The Sauber Formula 1 team, which will become an Audi in 2026, announced on Tuesday (December 17). Their fast pace vehicle is operated by Rodin Motorsport. The start of racing is planned for the Chinese Grand Prix at the end of March.

Felbermayr is following big steps. She comes from a motorsport dynasty. Emma’s father and grandfather once participated in the classic 24 hours of Le Mans. “I am very proud and excited. This is an incredible opportunity to take the next step in my racing career. I am looking forward to representing the team, growing as a driver and making the most of the visibility and platform that the F1 Academy offers. “I can’t wait to get started and see what we can achieve together,” Felbermayr, whose family runs one of the largest transportation and lifting technology companies in Central Europe, was quoted in a release Sauber.
