1744 White Alto, a crime comedy directed by Senna Hegde and starring Sharafuddin, Vinci, Rajesh Madhavan and Anand Manmathan, is all set for its international premiere at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in January 2023. The 1744 White Alto has been selected as part of the renowned ‘Harbour’ programme. The film is produced by Kabini Films, a new production house from Bangalore.

1744 White Alto was released in theaters in Kerala on November 18, 2022. The film was able to get a lot of critical acclaim and audience favor as a very different film through excellent making.

The story progresses through the hilarious and horrifying events that take place among the petty crooks. As the title suggests, the main character is a Suzuki Alto car. The film is set in a fictional location somewhere in Kerala.

“The film is not for everyone; Each person may come out with a different attitude. It’s not cerebral; Rather it is to entertain and provide a glimpse into the paradox of man. All characters can be good and bad at the same time, and morality is often a sliding scale, especially in modern times. I tried to present it in my own way’ – said Senna Hegde.

Rotterdam is comparable to other major European festivals such as Cannes, Venice, Berlin and Locarno. Since the beginning, Rotterdam has been one that promotes innovative and diverse cinema. ‘Harbour’ is one of the highlights of the Rotterdam Film Festival. This is the basis for the variety and quality of films that the organizers wish to bring to the world.
