jpnn.comJAKARTA – To commemorate the 17th anniversary of the Simbolon dohot Boruna Indonesia Association (PSBI), the general chairman, Dr. Effendi MS Simbolon and the management team made a pilgrimage to the Main National Heroes Cemetery (TMPNU), Kalibata, South Jakarta.

Effendi said that the series of pilgrimages carried out on Friday (6/7) afternoon until the evening was a routine agenda and tradition of the PSBI extended family to hold a thanksgiving every year.

“The Simbolon clan has reached 25 generations and has now grown to around 300 thousand people and is spread across various parts of the world, precisely in 156 regions, as a form of gratitude we are holding a thanksgiving by going on a pilgrimage,” said Effendi who was accompanied by his wife Dessy Trinita br. Tobing S. Kom, General Chairperson of Ina PSBI.

Effendi explained that PSBI pays great attention and does not forget the services of the heroes who have rendered great services to the Indonesian nation.

Because PBSI is an organization that was born to preserve the heritage of the values ​​of the Batak indigenous community that were inherited by the ancestors of the Simbolon clan who came from Samosir as the origin of the Batak Nation.

“Of the many heroes buried at TMPNU Kalibata, 13 of them came from the Simbolon clan,” said Effendi.

The 13 heroes are Lieutenant Colonel St. Mangara Monang Simbolon Sitanggang and Corporal Martha Lumban Tobing who are the parents of Dr. Effendi MS Simbolon, St. Maludin Simbolon, St. Kasianu Bidin Simbolon, Arnoldh Simbolon, Theofilus Candra Simbolon, Muara Ulim Simbolon, Darius Simbolon, Willem Simbolon, Col. Maludin Simbolon, Humala Tua Simbolon and Drs. Hotler Simbolon.

The series of pilgrimage ceremonies led by Captain Czi Suparman as Kaur VIP/VVIP Kogartap I/Jakarta began with a series of ceremonies in the main courtyard of TMPNU Kalibata, such as honoring the spirits of heroes, observing a moment of silence and laying wreaths.
